Deactivating grid components
Deactivating grid components may result in modifications to the grid and/or lower capacity at our borders.
Regular maintenance must be conducted in order to keep the high-voltage grid running smoothly and prevent as many unscheduled interruptions on the grid as possible.
From time to time new equipment must also be installed on the grid to reinforce, replace or expand existing facilities.
Transmission lines, transformers and other key grid components are deactivated during maintenance or other works. Maintenance work may affect interconnection capacities (energy exchanges between countries) or customers using the local grid.
